DRY BAGS

Dry or 'Canoe' bags have seen widespread use for some time now. Originally adopted by Soldiers and serious Outdoors Enthusiasts as protection against water. Recent world events have proved their value in protecting equipment from dust too.

We stock both Ortlieb and Exped brands of Dry Bag. Both have featured in our own kit for some years and we are pleased to be able to offer them to our customers.

Exped bags are an excellent lightweight option for waterproofing entire loads or individual items and kit sectioning within bergens. Smaller sizes could also serve as emergency water carriers.

Ortlieb bags are of the highest quality available and robust enough to be used without the protection of a pack. The Ortlieb 79 litre XL Short size is the bergen liner in UK Military circles.

For the best results fold dry bags over with any stiffener inside the fold and fold over at least 3 times. Squeeze as much air out as possible to reduce bulk before closing and fold over as many times as the bag will allow, the more folds the greater the protection.
