Unusual, locally made chest rig in olive green

We suspect this is ‘rigger’ made at local unit level; we’ve encountered two others of others of similar design and finish, one in green and another in DPM with a white painted snow camouflage finish

Likely to be a late eighties to nineties era item, this example uses Berghaus hardware form those times

Classic design with 3 central mag pouches for up to 2 x 30 round, 5.56mm NATO magazines, close fit on Colt type magazines, for A2 steel or Polymer P or E magazines only one magazine will fit

UK issue bottle sized utility pouch at each end

Dressing pouch on each shoulder strap, sized for 20×19 FFD / shell dressing

Lighter weight Nylon backing on main panel creates a large flat pocket behind the pouches, vertical zip access at each side

No labels or makers marks

All pouches have simple Velcro closures

Length adjustable shoulder and waist straps, adjustment buckles are Berghaus items, plastic loop from parachute rigging to retain excess waist strap

Condition is used but sound, no damage or repairs, no obvious previous user marks

Sizing this is a close fit, suggested for slimmer users, 96-104 chest in issue clothing sizes, without body armour
