Description
Bivouac or Bivi / Bivvy Bag
Genuine British Army issue, UK made Sleeping Bag Cover (Bivi / bivvy) bag in Gore-Tex or similar moisture vapour permeable MVP material
Designed to used over a sleeping bag or as stand-alone protection
Draw cord hood, these are the latest, generously sized design
Approximate measures are 96cm across the shoulders, 65cm at the foot and 260cm long
As with all our surplus stock these have been carefully selected from MoD Disposals, no damage or repairs
Some signs of field use, may have previous user marks in ink
Used all over the world by British forces, used by our staff in all weathers across the UK, in Africa, the US and the Arctic
Ex-Army Bivi Bags are recommended in Ray Mears’ ‘Bushcraft’ 2002, (ref. page 8), and included on the kit list for many bushcraft and outdoor courses
As with all used Gore-Tex and other waterproof, breathable fabrics these will benefit from cleaning and reproofing.
