Waterproof Survival Match Case.

US sourced black plastic case for non safety type matches. This is the same case issued to USAF personnel and carried in their survival vests. As seen in use on recent TV coverage of Aircrew Survival Training.

Rubber O ring and screw top for water resistance.

Exterior of case and cap are ribbed to ensure firm grip regardless of conditions.

Also suitable as a tinder store for other fire lighting options, or carry two; one for matches, one for tinder.

Striker surface set inside lid.

External dimensions 28mm (diameter of cap) x 73mm (height) please note this item tapers slightly toward the base.

Internal dimensions (approximate) 21mm (diameter) 60mm deep.

Each case will hold approximately 45 Swan Vesta matches. Remaining space can be packed with cotton wool to prevent rattling or friction ignition, this packing would also serve as tinder.
