Description
Genuine US Army Issue ALICE pack
As issued, with correct original parts
Born of US military Special Operations experience in Vietnam, the ALICE Pack is descended from the ARVN packs initially utilised by MACVSOG and other Special Forces
The large ALICE pack is much favoured by UKSF for jungle training and operations, as the external frame provides greater ventilation than PLCE kit, reducing rubbing and bergen rash
Large size, the US equivalent of a bergen
Sits higher on the back than PLCE (similar position to old UK Para/SAS type) avoiding interference with belt kit
External tubular metal frame, lower back pad/support and waist belt
Lightweight olive green nylon construction
Approximately 100 litres total capacity
Large main compartment with separate internal pocket for radio, ideal for personal admin items
Draw cord neck, drainage eyelets, numerous loops and straps for attaching extra kit. ALICE pouches, 44 bottle carriers, PLCE utility and MOLLE would all fit (not included)
3 large outer pockets with draw cord neck, press stud and buckled strap closures. 2 of these with channels behind for long items such as digging tools
Original metal tri-glide type buckles on lid and pocket straps
3 smaller pockets on front, large enough for up to 2x 30 round 5.56mm magazines in each, press stud closure
Pack material is not waterproof although lid lining is rubberised. The Nylon material is quick drying. Velcro closed flat pocket in lid
Condition is used but sound, clear signs of use and wear, colour shades and age may vary between pack, straps, frame and other parts, all are sound and correct

Supplied complete with frame, hip pad and straps, variations in age and colour shades between individual parts
