Description
Shelter sheet ‘basha’ in UK woodland DPM
Sometimes called a ‘bivvy’, ‘tarp’ or ‘hootchie’ shelter
Waterproofed DPM nylon, 6 eyelets for cords, poles or pegs
5 webbing loops to raise the shelter, all reinforced
Press studs on the long sides, allows sheet to be use as an emergency bivi or sleeping bag, multiple compatible sheets may be joined together
220x 180cm, ideal one person shelter, large enough for two men if you’re on top of your admin’
Unknown origin, this may be issue or private purchase, heavier fabric than the ’95 issue item, closer to the 58 pattern poncho material but not as stiff & crunchy, design reminds of us of the sought after jungle sheet in olive green
Condition is used, but sound and undamaged, some marks from field use, waterproof backing is sound, not peeling off, previous user mark in ink.
