Description
Genuine US Army Issue ALICE pack, with UK user modifications
Single item only
Standard US issue pack with replacement buckles
Lid straps fitted with side release buckles
Closures on external utility pouches replaced with side release buckles
All replacement buckles are by ITW Nexus, this simple change makes the pack far more user friendly
The large ALICE pack has long been favoured by UKSF for jungle training and operations, as the external frame provides greater ventilation than PLCE kit, reducing rubbing and bergen rash.
Born of US military Special Operations experience in Vietnam, the ALICE Pack is descended from the ARVN packs initially utilised by MACVSOG and other Special Forces.
Large size, the US equivalent of a bergen
Sits higher on the back than PLCE (similar position to old UK Para/SAS type) avoiding interference with belt kit
External tubular metal frame, lower back pad/support and waist belt
Lightweight olive green nylon construction
Approximately 100 litres total capacity
Large main compartment with separate internal radio / admin pocket
Draw cord neck, drainage eyelets, numerous loops and straps for attaching extra kit. ALICE pouches, 44 bottle carriers, PLCE utility and MOLLE would all fit (none are included).
Three large outer pockets with draw cord neck, press stud and buckled strap closure
Two outer pockets have channels behind for machete, Golok, shovel or similar long tools
Three smaller pockets on front, each ideally sized for 30 round 5.56mm magazines, press stud closure
Pack body is quick drying Nylon material but not waterproof, lid lining is rubberised. The lid features a flat, Velcro closed flat pocket
Supplied complete with correct original frame, hip pad and straps

Condition is used, sound and fit for immdiate real world use, various marks and signs of use. Small hole the base of one external pouch, this does not affect use. No other damage, no repairs
